【ステートメント】
いつもは周縁化されている要素や、些細で個人的な思い、実存 的にゆずれないこだわりといった、全体から言えば細部に属す るものが、社会や歴史の流れとどう共存しているのか、どう共 存していけばいいのか、絵画の制作や美術史の検討をモデルに 考えています。具体的な発表作品としては、日本画を起点に、 襖という支持体や、画中画などメタ的手法をつかって、絵画の あり方を考える「襖絵の絵」のシリーズ、1 回の鑑賞体験につ いて作品を制作し続ける「別名で保存」シリーズ、集合体の中 での他者との緊張関係を絵にした《くくるく療法》や《サザエ》 などがあります。また、より直接的にひとの固有性に焦点をあ てる企画として、アーティスト自身でアーティストをリサーチ するプログラム MIMIC があります。

Statement:
I explore how elements typically marginalized—personal thoughts, minute details, and existential commitments—coexist with societal and historical currents. I use painting and art history as models to consider this relationship. Notable works include:
- The Fusuma-e series, which examines the nature of painting using Japanese screens (fusuma) and meta techniques like nested imagery.
- The Betsumei de Hozon series, which focuses on creating works based on single viewing experiences.
- Kukuru-ku Therapy and Sazae, which depict tensions with others within collectives.
Additionally, the MIMIC program, where artists research other artists, directly addresses individual uniqueness.
